Compare two complete options

Start with a written repair quote for the exact fault and part. Then compare a tested replacement of the same model, storage, battery condition and network compatibility. Include taxes, delivery or travel charges, necessary accessories and any setup costs on both sides.

A cheap used phone with an uncertain battery or hidden fault is not equivalent to your repaired device. Likewise, repairing one part is less attractive if the phone has several unrelated problems. There is no universal percentage rule that makes the decision right for every customer.

Check the rest of the device

• Battery: Is run time still suitable, or should a battery assessment be included?
• Frame and back: Does damage affect the repair method or durability?
• Charging and cameras: Are other functions already unreliable?
• Software: Does the model still meet your app and security-update needs?
• Storage: Will it remain enough for how you use the phone?
• Repair history: Which parts have already been replaced?

Tell the repair provider about every existing issue before approving work. A screen quote alone does not answer the economics of a phone with several faults.
